Social networks regularly require apps like MeetEdgar to re-confirm permission to post on your behalf. This security step is called a refresh, and it’s a normal part of keeping your account connected.
Connections between MeetEdgar and your social channels rely on access tokens, which can expire for several reasons, such as a password change, updated security settings, or a preset token lifespan set by the network.
Why do I need to refresh my account?
You may be asked to refresh an account when:
A social network’s security rules require periodic re-authorization
A network requires regular refreshes (for example, some networks enforce refresh cycles every few weeks or months)
You change your password on the social network
The network releases a security or permission update
Posting permissions expire or are reset
Refreshing simply re-authorizes the connection so Edgar can continue publishing your content. Your scheduled posts and saved content remain safe.
If an account becomes disconnected, MeetEdgar will notify you by email so you can refresh it.
