Can you import content from Canva in MeetEdgar?
Yes! MeetEdgar supports Canva Integration to make your content creation experience easier with Edgar.
Do I need a Canva account?
Yes. You need an existing Canva account and must be signed in before importing your designs into MeetEdgar. This allows Canva to connect with Edgar and send your designs to your Pending Content library.
How Canva Integration works in MeetEdgar
The Canva integration allows you to send designs directly from Canva to your Pending Content library.
Before getting started, you’ll need to connect Canva to MeetEdgar using your Canva API key. Here’s how to do it.
Once connected:
You create or open an existing design in Canva
Send the design to MeetEdgar using the Edgar app in Canva
The design is added to your Pending Content library
You can then assign social accounts, categories, and schedule your post
This eliminates the need to download files from Canva and upload them manually to MeetEdgar, saving you time and keeping your workflow simple.
How to Find Your Canva Key to Connect with Edgar
The Canva integration key is required to connect Canva to MeetEdgar. Follow the steps below to generate your Canva key, add it to MeetEdgar, and complete the connection.
Step 1: Sign in to Canva and Find Edgar in Your Apps
Step 2: Get the Canva Key to connect with Edgar
Once Edgar app is selected, choose whether to Use in an existing design or Use in new design in the Edgar app
Canva will open your design and automatically generate a Canva integration key for Edgar
Wait for the key to appear, then copy the Canva key
Step 3: Add the Canva Key in MeetEdgar
Open your MeetEdgar account in a new browser tab
Go to the Import tab
Select Canva
Paste the Canva integration key and click Next
How to start importing Canva design to Edgar
Once your Canva account is connected, follow the steps below to import designs from Canva into MeetEdgar and send them directly to your Edgar library.
Step 1: Return to Canva to complete the connection
Once you’ve copied the Canva key using the steps above, return to your Canva design
Click the Refresh button to finish connecting Canva to Edgar. You can then send your Canva design to Edgar!
Step 2: Send Your Design to Edgar
Finish editing your design in Canva.
Click Export once done.
You have the option to continue working on more designs or view the design in Edgar. If you want to work on other designs, no worries! You can also see what you sent to Edgar later in the Pending Content folder.
Step 3: Find Your Design in Edgar
Your Canva design will appear in the Pending Content tab in your Library.
Social accounts are not connected by default so make sure to add the appropriate social profiles so Edgar can publish your post.
Best practice advice: Create your own Canva Design Category in Edgar to save all Canva posts. These posts will be automatically linked to the General Category but you can always edit that.
Create and Schedule Your Content in MeetEdgar
Once your Canva design appears in your Pending Content Library, you can finish setting up your post.

No. Once the Canva integration is successfully connected, you can continue sending designs without reconnecting unless the connection is removed.

No. Social accounts are not connected by default. You’ll need to select the social profiles you want to publish to before scheduling your post.

If you edit the design in Canva after importing, you’ll need to export it again to send the updated version to MeetEdgar.
Can I bulk import multiple Canva designs?
Can I bulk import multiple Canva designs?
No. The Canva integration does not support bulk imports.
Each import sends your selected designs into a single post in MeetEdgar. If you import multiple designs at once, they will all be attached to the same post.
If you want each design to be its own post, you’ll need to export and send them one at a time from Canva.
