Can you import content from Canva in MeetEdgar?
Yes! MeetEdgar supports Canva Integration to make your content creation experience easier with Edgar.
Do I need a Canva account?
Yes. You need an existing Canva account and must be signed in before importing your designs into MeetEdgar. This allows Canva to connect with Edgar and send your designs to your library.
How Canva Integration works in MeetEdgar
The Canva integration allows you to send designs directly from Canva to your MeetEdgar library.
Once connected:
You create or open an existing design in Canva
Send the design to MeetEdgar using the Edgar app in Canva
The design is added to your Pending Content in MeetEdgar
You can then assign social accounts, categories, and schedule your post
This eliminates the need to download files from Canva and upload them manually to MeetEdgar, saving you time and keeping your workflow simple.
How to Import Canva Designs into Edgar:
Step 1: Create Your Design in Canva
Sign in to your Canva account
Create a new design or open an existing one
Step 2: Connect Your Edgar Account
Go to your Apps in your Design window
Search for Edgar
3. Connect your Edgar account when prompted
This is required to transfer your designs successfully.
4. Make sure to sign in to your MeetEdgar account
Click Apps in your Canva dashboard
Search for Edgar
3. Select Edgar from the results
4. You can choose to use Edgar with:
An existing design, or
A brand-new design
Step 3: Connect Your Edgar Account
Connect your Edgar account when prompted
Grant Canva permission to send designs to Edgar
This is required to transfer your designs successfully.
Finish editing your design then click the Save button. Canva will prepare your design and send it to our platform.
You have the option to continue working on more designs or view the design in Edgar. If you want to work on other designs, no worries! You can also see what you sent to Edgar later in the Pending Content folder.
4- Find your Canva designs in Edgar's Pending Content folder. Note that your content doesn't have social profiles connected to it yet! Be sure to add them so Edgar is able to publish your posts.
5- Check your Canva designs in your Library and Happy Posting!
Best practice advice: Create your own Canva Design Category in Edgar to save all Canva posts. These posts will be automatically linked to the General Category but you can always edit that.
